The club 8 musical group is an indie rock duo including Karolina Komstedt (from the band Poprace) and Johan Angergård (Acid House Kings, Poprace). The club 8 had formed in 1995 and were signed to the Spanish record label and had released a single called ‘Me Too’ and an album called ‘Nouvelle’. In 1998 they had released their second album ‘The Friend I Once Had’ and a single ‘Missing you’ was released.
Club 8 has released many songs and albums since then and now Club 8 release their first new material in over a year via Golden Islands. On “Så Underbart Va Livet” (which is in English and not Swedish no matter what you think!) they use dusty organs, ambient soundscapes, and Asian mallet instruments to create experimental pop music that is overwhelmingly sad and peacefully happy.
While there are no definitive release plans, the duo says they are now working on 20-30 new tracks that will end up either a double album or a couple of singles.
