Christian Löffler Releases New song ‘Ry’ for Upcoming Album

February saw the release of the incredible music video for ‘Like Water’ by German multi-talent Christian Löffler. And to continue on that same speed, the producer has seen fit to make another release. The track entitled ‘Ry’ dropped on 22 March and as with all things Löffler is just a treat to the ears.

It’s been a tough journey for the artist as he’s always been sort of stuck between two passions. The main of which is painting and as he’s said a few times before, he cannot concentrate on one when his heart calls out to the other. And being forced to do so is a very frustrating process for him. So after focusing quite a bit of time on painting, Löffler was finally ready to get back in the studio again.

‘Ry’ serves as the opening track to his new upcoming album Graal (Prologue), as well as the catalyst to his recent switch back to music, as stated by the artist, “‘Ry’ is the most important song on Graal (Prologue) for me. It was the breakthrough after a phase without making music. This track made this album possible. After devoting myself to painting, ‘Ry’ inspired me to create new music.”

The song itself rises with bass and synth that warps and drops before ever reaching any peak. Like an endless loop of a singular beat, doomed to repeat itself before returning right back where the very first bass note started. Perhaps without context, the track might come off as void of purpose, but as I’ve said countless times before, context is key. And knowing Löffler’s story, this track is rich with emotion and the perfect representation of the artist’s frustration voiced by Löffler surrounding the very process of his art.
