Bristol trip-hop quartet The Desert share brooding, dystopian single ‘Distract Me’ ahead of upcoming EP release

Having shared the highly acclaimed single ‘Gone’ earlier last month, Bristol-based quartet The Desert now continue the support for their forthcoming EP with the unveiling of their latest cut ‘Distract Me’. While ‘Gone’ sat as the band’s most anthemic release on their new EP, ‘Distract Me’ acts as the more intimate of the two. Using synthesisers near the end to create a more haunting tone, the band have been able to create a grand and atmospheric sound that still retains many of their organic elements. With comparisons to the likes of Little Dragon and Boards Of Canada, The Desert look to give their latest release a more personal tone, focusing on those harder to manage moments in life and wishing that there were some way to remove yourself from it.
