“For me personally, the foundations of nature, in the broadest sense (including us), carry the most beauty and maddening incomprehensibility. The more something is distilled, the more its beauty is crystallised.”
Self reflection in complete isolation; the immerse in nature and introspection of the self, and the world around us. With a bold step out of his everyday life, composer and producer Max Cooper removed himself from the overwhelm of frenzied chaos that has become the norm for us all; spending a month in a secluded cabin in Wales – Cooper, devoid of any human contact, submerged himself in the conceptualisation of his upcoming third album, One Hundred Billion Sparks which is being released via his very own imprint MESH September 20th.
With the brand new release of the album’s first single ‘Hope’ – Cooper has explained the connection between both the auditory and visual experience of the album, in which each track is a score to an underlying narrative.
“Nature is like art – full of structure, complexity, paradox and many other things which invoke awe, beauty, peace, confusion, frustration and feeling. That is why I involve scientific ideas in my projects; they are a rich source of aesthetic and feeling.”
