EMMI IIDA, the Finnish songwriter, unveiled her debut album, The Eye, on February 22, 2024, via her own imprint EFG Records. This release follows the singles ‘Blooming,’ ‘Energy Guru,’ ‘Trinity,’ and ‘Higher Self’, and was co-written and produced by Jessica Sharman, with mixing and mastering by Femke Weidema. EMMI is a versatile creative, known for her visual art and holistic interior architecture. She has received recognition from various outlets and stations, including Wonderland Magazine, BBC 6, and MTV Finland. Furthermore, EMMI is scheduled to showcase her talents at Timeless Festival in Cape Town, South Africa, in April 2024.

The Eye is a 14-track journey through EMMI IIDA‘s sonic world, exploring themes of self-actualization, intimacy, cosmic meaning, love, empowerment, and spirituality. EMMI‘s expressive lyrics blend seamlessly with her smooth, ethereal vocals. The project, featuring crisp, reverberant, and genre-defying production, spans various moods and energies—from trippy chillhop in ‘Higher Self’ to sultry spoken-word in ‘Trinity’ to the avant-pop anthem ‘Our Love’ with Bryce Green. With meditative ease and powerful passion, The Eye delivers a profoundly spiritual sonic experience.
