Shutting our eyes, we brought our minds to the present to soak up Synkro’s all-too-pleasing single, ‘Floatation’, and here is what we learned. The record is a meditation. Contemplative in its overall tone, it reverberates like a brass singing bowl, easing the mind into a state of blissful relaxation.

We can imagine sitting on a shoreline, listening tentatively to the lapping of waves as they wash against the white sand. With dunes behind us, we face outwards, leaning into the sounds of the ocean, allowing our thoughts to wash out, stolen by the tide.

Born in the UK, Synkro began in a different pocket of music. With a history in Bass music, he expanded into the ambient genre and we are glad he did. ‘Floatation’ is exceptional and is one of the songs to be released ahead of the compilation Cosmic Vibrations Vol.3, which will be released via Deep Heads.
