Olovson treads on new territory for himself as a classical artist and it does not show at all, his latest single ‘Gyroscope’ via 1136 Diamond shows us that this act has more surprises up his sleeve in the months to come. Famously forming part of the Grammy Award duo Jarami, Jacob Olofsson wanted to explore his love for classical music. He does more than showcase his affinity for classical music, he nails it on the head. This latest track takes a more upbeat approach from its predecessor ‘Book Are Flying’. We continue to be impressed by the array of moods that can be conveyed with more ambient and classical sounds. The possibilities are endless when you have a mind like Olovson who creates these breathtaking mental pictures through his sound.

Olovson previously featured on RCRD LBL  who commented: “Adapting to a new pace in his music and career, Jacob is sure to pick up traction in the months to come with his solo album release. The Olovson project has already been seen support by the likes of  BBC Radio 6‘s Nemone, who is currently standing in for Shaun Keaveny. We won’t sleep on this minimal track, as we have no doubts there will be more to follow soon and that it will be just as magical.”

Since the release of his debut single ‘Books Are Flying’ the thoughtful composer has been praised by Nemone from BBC Music 6 and has also received a stellar review from Rolling Stone India in the span of a month since the song was unveiled. We cannot wait to see what Olovson reveals to us next. Will it be more upbeat than the last? Or will it be more mellow like his debut?
