Ready to hear what is playing on the jukebox today? Well, we’re happy to oblige. Artist Fourth Daughter has shared a double single titled ‘Say What You Want’ and ‘Calling Out Your Name’. Further, she has teased that ‘Say What You Want’ will feature on an upcoming project, her debut EP, HYPERREAL.
On the A-side, ‘Say What You Want’ is a clear lake: listening to the record, we can see right to the bottom where Fourth Daughter’s voice swims between rippling drums, sometimes floating on the surface of mirror-finished synths and expansive breakdowns, sometimes submerging in the depths of thumping kicks.
With a seeming lightness of heart, Fourth Daughter says, “Maybe they’ll appreciate the vulnerability and truth in my songs or just dig into the tracks/production and their energy. The human experience is confusing and weird at times but it’s relatable and being able to funnel that into creating songs is pretty cool.”
