Worlds collide and fall apart with the backdrop of Iceland in GIVVEN’s latest music video ‘Losing Colours’. The video forms part of a visual EP series of the same name. We received our first taste of what we can expect with the somber video ‘Taking On Water’, which was shared last December. Both rich tracks musically, the band creates more magic with these visual representations that bring these songs to life.
Both videos were directed by Rupert Höller. He shared his thought process with the new video: “We shot the video for ‘Losing Colours’ with Paris-based dancers Aliashka and Goku Kepler on the famous black beach in the south of Iceland. It explores the concept of human connection and energy. Even if you lose someone and that person is not physically present anymore, the energy still remains.”
Rupert Höller elevates but honors the story of this beautifully crafted track. Watching the video, one’s vision will be glued to the screen for its duration with the intense chemistry. The two featured and gifted dancers make us believe in this tragic love story with a sincere performance. Intense from the get-go, expect to shed a tear or two from the song’s evocative nature.
