Crimson Medici is Nick Pollard and Wendy King, a UK Trip Hop / Electronica band based in Folkestone Kent. Nick is a songwriter / composer and Wendy is a vocalist and lyricist… between them Crimson Medici gains its unique sound.
Crimson Medici is currently in the studio putting the final touches to their first album entitled It’s Never Too Late.

Describe your sound for us. What do you want people to feel when they hear your music?
A spiritual and ethereal soundscape with thought provoking, meaningful lyrics and strong melodies.
Our aim is for our music to uplift people or give them a sense of well being.
Which 3 artists have influenced you the most growing up?
As individuals our influences vary but are similar.
Wendy – So hard to choose just three as I have so many….but here goes..Abba, David Bowie and Massive Attack
Nick – Pink Floyd, Depeche Mode and Jean Michel Jarre
How did you discover your particular sound?
It was a coming together of Nick’s love for deep bass lines and instinctive ability to write music which Wendy found easy to write meaningful lyrics and catchy melodies to.
What are the most important pieces of equipment to you?
Wendy – no surprises here…my mic and headphones
Nick – Roland Jupiter 80 Keyboard ,Omnisphere synth software and my 35 year old Roland SH 101
What outside of music inspires you to create?
Life experiences and emotions inspire us.
Do you have a favourite memory of your career so far that you will take with you forever?
Reaching No 1 in the XRP independent chart with our first release Survivor was a pivotal moment and inspired us to continue with our dream .
If you could work with, or perform alongside any artist living or passed, who would it be?
Wendy- a duet with Bowie please…amazing artist with so many fantastic songs to choose from.
Nick – David Gilmour (Pink Floyd). If I could hold a chord and he struck one of his amazing guitar solo over it…wow!
Most artists say that if they weren’t artists they would be mailmen/women… what would you be?
Wendy- Make up artist
Nick- Lighting stage designer
What can we expect from you in the near future? Any upcoming projects or gigs in the pipeline that you would like to tell us about?
We are just putting the finishing touches to our first album Never Too Late and are preparing to perform some Facebook live performances.
