Fat Cosmoe is an italian Live music project started in 2014, offering a sound halfway between electronic and techno music. Fat Cosmoe’s sound combines various kinds of music, incorporating Ambient, Glitch, Neoclassic and much more.

The producer DUO just released their new 10-track Album ‘I Will Never Smile Again‘. Most of their new pieces concern smooth, electronic and rhythmic ambient elements that allow one to cutt of from stress:

We won’t smile anymore because everybody laughs, or pretend to, trying to look happy and making out to have a wonderful life. But often we are ourselves only if we are earnest…

We caught up with the Italien producer duo Lorenzo & Mattia for an exclusive interview:

Hi there. Thanks a lot for taking your time for speaking with us. How are you and what are you up to today?
Hi guys 🙂 we’re fine thanks.
Today like yesterday is good for making music
To those not familiar with you, how would you describe your sound? *
Our sound is variable: we like to switch between the electronic ambient and go to the darker techno. When we make albums we like think of them as listening and the EP we like to think for the dancefloor.

What other artists do you really like at the moment and why?
Shigeto for his electronic beat mixed with jazz and hip hop and Flume for his hybrid electronic

What are some of the key pieces of gear you use to write your tracks in the studio? Or do you prefer to use software and plug ins?
We like to combine all things to create a hybrid sound. we sample everything and we like to merge it together with some plug-ins & more

Has your arsenal of equipment changed much since you first started?
Yes, absolutely. We evolved for the equipment like new pc, new plug, keys and device but more important we have completed our studio.

Do you enjoy playing to an audience or working in the studio?
Mixing together is what gives to us the most stimulation. Especially when we play the live, see how people react when listen or dance with our tracks worked in studio

If we gave you the budget to put a line-up together for a mini fest, who would you book and where would you play?
Definitely Roman Flügel and Tale Of Us also with electronic artists like Flying Lotus and
Shlohmo. Everywhere

If you weren’t a musician what would you be?
Lorenzo: Racing driver
Mattia: Time traveller

Do you have any information regarding upcoming releases, projects, DJ mixes or collaborations in the pipeline that you would like to tell us about?
We just released our second album called “I Will Never Smile Again” on URSL.
We are already preparing new EPs and we have some dates with our live and dj-set.
