Kooma shares crystalline song ‘Subliminal’

It doesn’t get more chill than this: Floating, Drifting Records producer Kooma has released his frosty new record ‘Subliminal’. The cool nature of the record comes as no surprise seeing as the artist was born and bred in the home of snow: Finland. This time, he trudges through a different terrain, creating an avalanche of sound in a song that drifts like frost in a blizzard. With each new sound introduced, we are guided along the snowy path, ‘seeing’ only what is right in front of us.

Furthermore, the producer has unveiled a visualizer, which illustrates this very experience. We are transported to a land where snow coats tree branches, glistening in the soft light of the winter sun. The overall mood of the track and video is one of serenity. “Typically I’d program drums over soundscapes like ‘Subliminal’, but my gut feeling told me to keep it minimal: no drums, just melodies. Ambient songs like this leave more space for imagination, and I hope that this piece will spark inspiration for the listeners!” Said Kooma, and we couldn’t agree more.
