Directed by visual artist Mahir Duman, music producer Calcou’s latest video for his song ‘Below’ is a beautifully experimental work of art. A fusion of colours gently and playfully mingle with each other, which makes this video a calming and visually stimulating watch throughout. ‘Below’ will feature on Calcou’s EP Places via MfDR+C on the 20th of May.
In a previous interview with us, Calcou commented on his sound: “To me, finding and defining a sound is a never-ending process. It involves being open and curious and of course many hours of practice and experimentation. I would never state that I have actually found my sound as this would mean that I have arrived. But it’s all about the process, about having fun while exploring.”
Calcou is an artist that dares to create music on his own terms. The results so far are spectacular and we have not a single doubt that Places will be a divine listening experience for all who enjoy laidback lo-fi and electronica infusions.
