Bristol-based artist Message To Bears, shared his meditative single ‘Open Lungs’ on 28 March via the Lost Birds imprint.
With the single, Message To Bears (Jerome Alexander) delves into themes of mental health and the groundbreaking power of breath to help ease symptoms of anxiety. ‘Open Lungs’ premiered on world-renowned tastemaker CLASH Magazine, and is a truly stand-out piece of art from Message to Bears. It grounds the listener in a profound manner through its tapestry of shimmering piano chords, lush layered vocals, and slowly intensifying powerful crescendo.
The composer and multi-instrumentalist has made great strides in his career so far. He’s performed with the likes of Nils Frahm at Oxford’s Holywell Music Room, as well as Olafur Arnalds at London’s Queen Elizabeth Hall. He currently has over 200 million streams across platforms, and has received support from BBC Radio presenters such as Tom Robinson and Nitin Sawhney. His music has also made appearances on hit Netflix shows like Virgin River and Warrior Nun.
‘Open Lungs’ brilliantly showcases Message To Bears ability to deeply evoke emotions in his music and composition.
