Emerging electronic music producer Runrummer, has announced her forthcoming EP Outer Space is set for release on the 8th of October. On the EP you will find the lovable synth-infused gem ‘Nightcaller’ which talks about hope in the darkest of times. Forming part of the LGBTQ+ community, the singer has admitted to feeling lost before claiming her space as a musician and confident adult. We are pleased to present the song ‘Sunny Day’, which will feature on the Outer Space EP. This track is filled with trip-hop notes that speak on finding light when the clouds are the darkest hue of grey.
Runrummer shares: “ ‘Sunny Day’ comes from a place of pretty deep depression. Around 2017-2018 when I moved to London and started a 9-5 job for the first time, I was in a dark place and thought I had lost all my creativity. I remember sitting on the floor of my bedroom looking out the window up at the grey sky, unable to go to work or even leave my flat that day, just wishing and dreaming for something to come along and take me out of my funk. Ultimately it was music which was able to do that for me, and this song explores what I was feeling at that time.”
