Originally hailing from the small seaside town of Knysna in South Africa, Maya-Rose has been living and breathing music ever since she can remember. Although she has been writing and performing music for over a decade, her new single release, ‘Perpetual Dissatisfaction’, marks the first time she has released a professional recording of her work. 

The track is a personal, folk-infused number that is undeniably raw and relatable. Maya-Rose’s pure and honest vocals tell a story of surviving in a bleak capitalist world as a young woman, telling it like it is, with grace and melancholy. Although no official dates have been released, Maya-Rose will be continuing to release singles from her forthcoming album until the end of the year, via Kudukudu Records.
