EMMI IIDA released her new single, ‘Energy Guru’, on the 26th of October 2023 via her own independent label EFG Records Oy. After hosting her own solo art exhibitions around the world, the multi-faceted, Finland-based artist has translated her visual prowess to musical resonance. Alongside her label, her production company, EFG Productions Oy, seeks to explore the union of holistic wellbeing and fresh frequencies. Now, fresh off the heels of the success of her first single, ‘Blooming’, her second has already gained support from notable tastemakers METAL Magazine and CLASH Mag, not to mention an interview with MTV Finland. ‘Energy Guru’ was produced by #1, gold-disc selling songwriter and producer Jess Sharman, who is behind music for film and TV such as Grey’s Anatomy, Love Island and The Inbetweeners. Accelerating her momentum, ‘Energy Guru’ premiered on Thursday with support from NOCTIS Mag.

With ‘Energy Guru’, EMMI IIDA succeeds in delivering a delicate but daring declaration of self- and external love. The song’s opening bars are nothing short of serene: as deeply lush pads, and sparkling strings flutter into the ether. Like raindrops, ever angelic and soothing, her voice ushers in a deep state of calm. The arrival of her ethereal vocals beckons the listener in, sedating and illuminating, demanding your attention in a spellbinding fashion. Topically exploring themes of self-love, empowerment, and its inherent dualities, EMMI sings about her own trials and tribulations, and the eventual power she has derived from them.
