Australia’s hottest export of the moment, YesYou, have released a stunning new single with vocals from OFEI, titled ‘Everybody’s Got To Learn Sometimes’. A cover of the 1980s The Korgis track of the same name (made famous in 2004 by Grammy Award winner Beck), the YesYou duo put their own spin on the track, transforming it into a sweeping masterpiece.
As mentioned before, YesYou hails from Australia and have since climbed in popularity across the globe as proven by their more than 10 million streams across platforms like Soundcloud, Spotify and Youtube. This was aided by the fact that they have been gaining airplay by BBC 1’s Pete Tong and Australian radio station Triple J and garnering support from renowned tastemaker publications Consequence of Sound, Clash Mag, The Line Of Best Fit, Indie Shuffle and many others.
YesYou’s rendition of ‘Everybody’s Got To Learn Sometimes’ transforms the already iconic track into a soaring production masterpiece only improved by the powerful vocals of UK’s OFEI. Piano, strings, synth and a trip-hop beat makes for a pleasurable listen from start to finish as YesYou takes you on a journey through the skies. I keep referring to metaphors of flying as that is what the song makes me experience. Flying through the clouds with a sense of bliss keeping me afloat.
