You’ve most likely heard of the release of Far Cry 6, the epic new game from Ubisoft in the legendary franchise. The game has managed to attract the attention of both the gaming community and the music industry, as Ubisoft have released an assortment of albums to accompany the experience. Two of the albums were created by Pedro Bromfman, a Brazillian producer on the fast track to success while the third featured a variety of talented artists from around the world. Stream/ buy: Far Cry® 6 Vaas: Insanity (Original Game Soundtrack) 

The game publishers have decided to continue the line of success with a release of several DLCs to accompany the game, with the first (Vaas: Insanity) released today and is accompanied by a full-length soundtrack created by Will Bates. The post-industrial masterpiece encompasses several tracks that have been created to get into the twisted minds of the villains in the series. Now, we wouldn’t call this music that you could chill to but we will say the exceptional lengths that Will Bates has gone to recreate a sinister world within his music shouldn’t be overlooked.

Speaking of the focus track, Will Bates tells us: “My track ‘Birth Right’ is a nod to the Far Cry 3 theme, using the recognizable choral elements but giving it a more frenetic and twisted edge. I wanted to convey that Vaas is no longer in control.”
